The setting of Stone Gods & Naked Lovers is in the magical landscape of a fictional city called Narakanda near east coast of India, famous for its erotic temple sculptures as well as a growing reputation as a hi-tech center. The main protagonist is American Rahul Adam, manager of a multinational corporation and central motif is his doomed love affair with an Indian magazine reporter Rohini Rao.
